Different strokes chapter 1

Tavros Nitram, high school junior, was slowly making he way to the auditorium for the annual talent show. He wouldn't have even bothered if it hadn't been for his best friend and secret crush,of four years, Gamzee Markara.  They had met in seventh grade when Vriska,the class bitch, was making fun on him because he was in a wheel chair. Gamzee made sure she knew "That's not cool motherfucker!" and they became instant friends. Sure the older boy had some 'habits' that made him a little absent minded but that just made Tavros love all the more. When he rolled himself into the auditorium it was almost packed and so he parked himself in the front row beside his other 'friend' Karkat Vantas. He was ranting about how he was missing band for something stupid like this. Tavros shooshed him when Principal Scratch came up and gave his introduction. Gamzee's band was going first. The curtains pulled back to show Gamzee standing at the mic. He wouldn't tell him what song they were doing and Tavros wondered why? Terezi pushed her glasses up on her head to where you could see her milky eyes and licked her drumstick smiling like the mad women she was. Gamzee began their introduction.

"I'm Gamzee Markara and I would like to dedicate this song to my best bro,Tavros." He looked right at him and smiling.You could hear some girls squeal but Tavros chose to ignore them. Blushing he looked over at Karkat who shrugged. Gamzee took a deep breath and began to sing.

"Baby,I love you I never want to let you go.The more I think about, the more I want to let you know that everything you do,is super fucking cute and I can't stand it." Tavros was blushing even harder now. He knew this song and Gamzee was singing it to him! Does that mean he felt the same why?

"I've been searching for a dude that's just like you." Yep he was singing it to him. Tavros just watched perplexed as Gamzee looked him in the eyes and sang. When it was over there was a lot of applause. Gamzee came out to where Tavros was and Terezi dragged Karkat away.

"Uh, Gamzee." Tavros stammered.

"What did you think?" Gamzee asked smiling.

"W-well it was nice but you said it was for me. I don't..." Gamzee nodded.

"Damn Tavros. I love you and I have for a long time. I just didn't tell you because I thought that someone as sweet and cute as you could never love an absent minded stoner like me. Everyday I grew to love you more until I couldn't keep it to myself anymore. I had to get the massage across some way." Just by looking at him Tavros could tell this was one of the few times since they had met that he was sober. He couldn't stop the few tears that he had been holding back.

"Gamzee." When his taller friend looked at him Tavros grabed a handful of his shirt and pulled him down to his level so he could kiss him. At that moment he couldn't have cared less at who was looking. His best friend loved him back! He let go of Gamzee's shirt and let his friend get he balence back.

"So does this mean you like me too?" He asked. Tavros laughed shaking his head.

"Yes Gamzee this means I love you too."  Gamzee put his arms around Tavros' neck and nuzzled his face into his neck.

"Best motherfucking thing that's ever happened to me."
